Gallop Poll Shows Condi Strength!

A newly-released poll....not the usual type, but an actual rating on each individual candidate....Shows unexpected positive ratings for Condi Rice.

Capt. Ed writes well on the poll and its meaning at Captain's Quarters.

We have often stated on this blog that Condi brings much to the table, and offers not only less baggage than McCain and Giuliani, but also the twin cards which best take the wind out of the sails of Hillary....race and being a female.

An additional Condi positive that Hillary lacks is the world-traveling, global politics of Condi...a weak spot in the Bush regime until Condi arrived, and also a weak spot for Hillary. Condi's performance to date on the world stage has been one of strength, tremendous acceptance by world figures, and a visibility in the MSM not there for other figures during this administration.

Now, all that remains is to find a way to convince Condi that she is needed by her country in 2008!

Suggestions?

Are you living on another planet? are we talking about Condo Rice?
Where is Condo? Dick goes to Saudi to talk about foreign policy, why didn't Condo go?
She has been strangely absent for some time, a period in which Iraq seems to be sliding into absolute disaster.
Surely the Sec. of State should leading any and all negotiations trying to find a solution.
Or has George finally woken up to the fact that Condo is incompetent and useless. After all what has she achieved during her tenure as Nat. Sec. Advisor and Sec. of State.
The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Even Donald Trump got his comments right "she runs around seeing people and giving news conferences but NOTHING EVER HAPPENS".
I do hope you can convince her to run because she will go down to the biggest defeat in history, that is if everyone can stop laughing long enough to vote.
Wake up and get a life.

Have you ever watched her speak?! Every word is measured; she always behaves as if she has been caught in a lie. Because she has been! I don't want a lying president, Dem or Rep.

A Nov. 15 2007 AP story indicates Chevron was fined $30M by the SEC for bribing Saddams’s thugs in the “oil for food” deal and that Chevron may face tax evasion charges later. The bribes were in the millions so someone pretty high up at Chevron had to sign off on the payments. Unfortunately the AP story did not mention Dr. Condoleezza Rice the Chevron board member and the chairman of the “Public Policy Committee” which is responsible for making sure this kind of activity does not happen.

The Chevron website says the committee’s purposes include “identifying, evaluating and monitoring social, political and environmental trends, issues and concerns”, “analyzing how public policy trends could impact business activities and performance". Dr. Rice never discussed the Iraqi bribes on the record (not in the minutes) at company meetings. That should not surprise anyone who is familiar with her lack of response to 911 warnings.

President Clinton put sanctions on Iraq. Actions by Chevron and Rice clearly violated those sanctions and amount to treason. I urge our new Attorney General Michael Mukasey and California Attorney General Jerry Brown determine who at Chevron authorized the millions in bribes.
